The Hobbit

The Hobbit, a story that will continue to go down in history as an enchanting tale. This prequel to 'The Lord of the Rings' is completely amazing!

About: Bilbo Baggins was a hobbit who wanted to be left alone in quiet comfort. But wizard Gandalf came along with a band of homeless dwarves. Soon Bilbo was drawn into their quest, facing evil orcs, savage wolves, giant spiders, and worse, unknown dangers. Finally, it is Bilbo-alone and unaided-who has to confront the great dragon Saug, the terror of an entire countryside...

Other:
-There is nothing in this book that would prevent me from picking it up. This story was originally told and written for J.R.R. Tolkiens kids, but became a story I think all of us would love.

Have any questions or comments? I would love to answer and hear them.

Goodbye Brain Jacques

Brain Jacques died February 5, 2011

Yes, Brain Jacques, one the most amazing children's authors, has died.
I picked up 'Redwall' (the first book I read of his) only a year ago.
But through those characters I feel I've known the author forever.
Goodbye Brain Jacques, you will be greatly missed, and remembered forever.

Don't be ashamed to weep; 'tis right to grieve. Tears are only water, and flowers, trees, and fruit cannot grow without water. But there must be sunlight also. A wounded heart will heal in time, and when it does, the memory and love of our lost ones is sealed inside to comfort us." - B.J.

And the winner is...

I'm afraid just saying who won would not be too fun, so I'm going to ramble a bit. Just joking, Random.org picked...
