Confessions of a word weaver

Something I love...
William Shakespeare's plays and poetry. Which seems so weird to me being that a month ago I would have said I'm not a fan of his at all.

Something I hate...
Cheesy "love" relationships between main characters.

Something that makes me giddy...
Reading Edger Allen Poe's, The Raven, to myself in whispers at night. (Call me crazy but I love it!)

Something that brings tears to my eyes...
The death of a character. Especially one of my own.

Something that makes me giggle...
Everybody else witty characters. I can never seem to make any of my own.

Something I believe...
That the words you use are a window to your soul

Something loathe...
Unruly main characters. What is more terrible than than a hero who refuses to play the role?

So there it is: confessions of a word weaver and a spinner of tales. What about you? Any confessions?

LOL. : ) Lets see, something I loathe - predictable cliche endings. Something I hate - why is it that the hero always has to trip over the heroine in a romance. He bumps into her, they meet, and its happily ever after...

Something I love - That picture of the library!

Good post! BTW - I cry when I kill my characters too, and I hate myself for killing them. :/ :)

Out of curiosity, which play(s) was it that made you a Shakespeare fan? I read Romeo & Juliet, many sonnets, and tried Hamlet and Macbeth; but I still don't care for his writing.

I tend to cry for my characters, too, when they're feeling miserable...

Amanda - Oh, yes. The dreaded cliche endings, or beginings, or middles. Through and through I agree with you.

Marian - Well, that kind of hard to explain. I'm a big fan of the old english way of talking, which hightened the plays for me. I read Romeo and Juliet, but I wasn't a huge fan of that one {I found it to funny}. I think the ones that did it for me was 'A Midsummer's Night Dream' and 'Much Ado About Nothing'. I don't think I have favorite when it comes to his poetry though. ☺

I'll have to give those a try. :) And yes, I found Romeo and Juliet to be unintentionally funny, too...

love, love, love. (I love it that we both get giddy by scaring ourselves. We need to have a sleepover, and soon=)
