Welcome all to day 2 of the 15 day challenge. I'm really excited about the number of post linked to yesterday. And remember, it's not to late to join. Whether you start on late and go through all 15 days or jump in right in the middle. I'd love for you to join.
Day 2 - Your favorite male author.
There are SO many good male authors out there! First, let me say it's hard to pick a favorite author as a whole, not just on one book I liked. After careful consideration and thought I finally picked one.
Stephen R. Lawhead, the author of one of my favorite books of all time. ☺
But it's not just because of this book but it's his writing style. His amazing characters, enjoyable plots, and all over his way of captivating a reader with well put together words.
Mind you, it wasn't easy to pick him. I mean how many good male suthors does there have to be out there? Now that I think about it Stephen R. Lawhead is only one of many favorite authors. Oh, crumb cake!
Some of my other favorites are:
-C. S. Lewis (author of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe)
-Roald Daul (author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)
-Frank Peretti (author of This Present Darkness)

I LOVE Stephen Lawhead!! His King Raven, Albion, and Dragon King trilogies are GREAT!! Mom and I are currently going through his Pendragon Cycle! =)

(I actually wrote him once; and he wrote back!)
Ah, I love Stephen Lawhead! I think the second book in his King Raven Trilogy, Scarlet is one of my favorite books of all times. I've read it four times already...
This challenge is fun and I enjoy hearing about your favorite authors and characters and such! Thanks for sharing.
Oh, and by the way, have you read Lawhead's newer book The Skin Map? That one's really good too.
Blessings,
~ Liz
I *love* that book! It's one of my favorites. Then again, anything remotely based of Robin Hood tends to excite me. ; ) He's got a lot of pretty cool books though.
Mirriam ~ That is awesome. You are going to have tell me how you like his Pendragon Cycle books. ☺
Liz ~ OH! He has a new one? I'm so going to have to read it! Thanks you!
Geogianna Penn ~ Isn't his Robin Hood series amazing? I'm a big Robin Hood fan too.
Lawhead is numbered among my favorites as well. I have not read all of his works, but most of those I ventured into I found endearing enough to persevere and enjoy. I love his King Raven Trilogy (the first two especially!) and the Pendragon Cycle was splendid. Albion, however, was absolutely sublime, and I think that ranks as my favorite. ^.^ Great shout-out for a great author!
Here's me, joining in ridiculously late. I figured since Lawhead's my favourite too, I'd post a link http://hedgepickle.blogspot.com/2011/08/15-day-writing-challenge.html
